Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program
The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation welcomes corporate support of our “Building Pride/Building Character” program made possible by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program.
For the past several years, more than a dozen corporations have contributed to PHLF through the State’s EITC program.

Through tours, art activities, exhibits, and in-school programs created for the “Building Pride/Building Character” program, students discover a lot about their school, neighborhood, and city—and a lot about themselves—and fulfill academic standards in the process. Your support will allow PHLF to continue this program.
To support the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation’s “Building Pride/Building Character” program, please visit the EITC Web site and complete the application (Appendix I EIO) found in the “EITC Business Guidelines.” Eligible businesses are those authorized to do business in Pennsylvania who are subject to one or more of the following taxes: Corporate Net Income Tax, Capital Stock Franchise Tax, Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax, Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax, Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax, Insurance Premiums Tax, or Mutual Thrift Institution Tax. Businesses may receive tax credits equal to 75% of their contribution for only one year or 90% of their contribution if the business agrees to provide the same amount for two consecutive tax years. The limit per business is $200,000 per taxable year.
