Workshop: Architectural Design Series — Working Drawings

The Landmarks Preservation Resource Center, in a partnership with Dana Monroe, an architect and instructor at Art Institute of Pittsburgh and TechShop Pittsburgh, will offer a Design, Draw, and Scale Your House Workshop Series.

This workshop is free and open to the public.

Map and driving directions

Working Drawings is the third of this four-part workshop series. Topics will include:

  • How to draw house plans to scale
  • Floor plans dimensioning
  • Tips on drafting symbols & line weights

About the presenter: Dana Monroe is an instructor at TechShop Pittsburgh where she teaches members how to safely operate fabricating machinery such as in a wood shop, laser cutter/engraver, CNC milling, vinyl cutter and vacuum former. She is also a freelancer in 2-D and 3-D CAD design work both architectural and mechanical. She is a graduate of Penn State University, where she received a degree in Architecture.
