In observance of Preservation Month, join Sarah Greenwald and Tracy Myers, co-directors of education for a virtual exploration celebrating our organization’s preservation efforts in a historic neighborhood in Wilkinsburg. This tour focuses on the successful completion of our efforts in restoring historic apartment buildings, single-family houses, blighted vacant land, and the creation of events and educational space known as the Landmarks Preservation Resource Center. A National Register-listed Historic District, the Hamnett Place neighborhood is an enclave that highlights historic preservation achievements in Wilkinsburg, an independent borough seven miles east of Downtown Pittsburgh, where our organization has been engaged since 2005.
