Our third event of the year brings us to the North Side to one of the city’s oldest neighborhood bars, which has been serving patrons since 1933 when the Prohibition Act was repealed. A picture of the iconic Modern Cafe’s sign hangs inside The Carnegie Museum and was featured in The Pittsburgh Sign Project.
Join us! SOTS is a gathering of historic preservation enthusiasts, organized by the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation, to create social and professional networks of people engaged and interested in the work and mission of PHLF, one of the nation’s premier historic preservation organizations.
