OlmstedmovieposterAs summer slowly gives way to fall, we look forward to enjoying the splendor of beautiful foliage in our parks and landscapes, which can enhance our sense of wonder and appreciation of nature.

Join us for a screening of Olmstead and America’s Urban Parks, about Frederick Law Olmstead, an American landscape architect, and a pioneer among his peers, who was among the first to acknowledge that landscape architecture ought to be considered as a fine art.

One of the most successful landscape architects of his time, his influence on the sense of American urban life and design can still be seen in some of his work portfolio which includes the designing of great green spaces like New York City’s Central Park, the U.S. Capitol Grounds, and the National Register-listed parkway system in Buffalo, New York, among other places.

This screening is FREE to PHLF Members. Non-members: $5

RSVPs are appreciated: marylu@phlf.org or 412-471-5808 ext. 527
