Located about seven miles west of Pittsburgh, Carnegie was at one time a commercial center for farming villages and coal-mining camp towns in its vicinity. It is now considered a suburb of Pittsburgh, but it retains a vital Main Street of small businesses, many in revitalized historic buildings. These complement Carnegie’s many churches and the stunningly elegant Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall. Our docents will tell you about the places, people, and events that make Carnegie such a special corner of our region.
