LHRC Workshop: LEED Certification in Building Construction

December 10, 2012 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

FREE
What is LEED Certification?

LEED Certification is a term that is often thrown around in the construction industry these days. But what exactly is LEED Certification and what value does it hold for not only building construction, but also building operations in a world increasingly aware of energy consumption and expenditure?

Buildings use 39% of all energy and 70% of all electricity and contribute to 30% of all greenhouse gas emissions in the country.

Come learn why LEED has become the dominant global green rating system, how it came about and where it is going. Find out what makes a green building or a green product and why does this concern you.

Marc Mondor is an AIA member in addition to being United States Green Building Council LEED Faculty. He has lectured nationally about green building.

evolveEA is a green building and sustainability consulting and design firm that has successfully managed over three dozen LEED certifications.  .
