Enter the world of architecture in this television biography that showcases the life and times of Henry Hornbostel. Hornbostel stepped onto the stage of architecture history and into the spotlight of the American renaissance when in 1904 industry giant Andrew Carnegie chose him and partner George Palmer to design and construct Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh, known today as Carnegie Mellon University. Hornbostel’s body of work is grand and national in scope. His buildings, bridges, monuments and homes are a timeless tribute to the French-styled Beaux Arts, yet they all remain American classics. Unique and universal in their appeal, Hornbostel’s designs continue to inspire us more than a century removed from his sketch pad and colorful imagination.  Born from our American story, Hornbostel’s vision for cities, architecture and life capture our curiosity and steal our hearts.
