Gardening Seminar: Fall Cleanup—Savoring the Last of the Season

FREEFall is a great time to be in the garden. The weather is cooler and there is still time to create new beds, divide perennials, and tackle hardscaping projects, We can also enjoy the outdoors as we “put the garden to bed.” Learn tips and techniques for preparing your garden for winter. Not only will you be rewarded with a healthier garden next summer, your garden will be more beautiful all winter long.
This lecture is free and open to the public.

About the presenter:
Martha Swiss is a garden designer, writer, and speaker. A regular columnist with Pennsylvania Gardener Magazine, her articles have also appeared in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Bloom–the newsletter of the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, and Fine Gardening. She teaches classes on a range of topics and is especially interested in woody ornamentals, edible gardening, pruning, and garden design. She is a graduate of Chatham College’s landscape design program and a Penn State master gardener. Martha tends a one-acre garden in Robinson Township that has been photographed for Organic Gardening, Hobby Farms Magazine, and Pennsylvania Gardener Magazine.
