Tuesday October, 15
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Landmarks Preservation Resource Center
744 Rebecca Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221

Most house projects involve a little hardware; hinges, locksets, latches, knobs and more. Often it is hard to find the right replacement but luckily one often doesn’t have to. Whether it’s caked with paint, inoperable or loose, the vast majority of hardware can be made beautiful and functional once again with a little bit of work. In this workshop, we’ll look at paint removal and polishing methods as well as lock, latch and doorknob repairs, and adjustment. We will also specifically tackle how to repair worn out screw holes, which help keep different types of hardware attached.

About the presenter: Regis Will is a woodworker, craftsman, and owner of Vesta Home Services, a consulting firm on house restoration and Do-it-Yourself projects. He blogs about his work at The New Yinzer Workshop.

This workshop is FREE and open to the public. RSVPs are appreciated: marylu@phlf.org or 412-471-5808 ext. 527
