August Lecture Series—Frank Lloyd Wright in Pittsburgh
August 15, 2013 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
FREEFor the third of our lecture series, we explore the work and history of Frank Lloyd Wright through our presentation by PHLF staff.
Two of America’s most important architects are Henry Hobson Richardson (1838-1886) and Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959). Both designed several of their finest buildings in Western Pennsylvania and some of their most talented apprentices lived and worked here.
This lecture is free and open to the public.
About the presenter: Albert M. Tannler, historical collections director, joined PHLF on January 2, 1991. He researches and writes architectural history and oversees the James D. Van Trump Library and the Frank B. Fairbanks Rail Transportation Archive. Prior to joining PHLF, Al worked as an archivist and editor in Chicago. He began researching and writing about architecture in the Department of Special Collections at the University of Chicago Library.
