Concerned that getting older will affect your ability to remain in your home? How do you adapt for multi-generational living arrangements? Changes in mobility, eyesight, hearing, family size and composition are challenging enough. This lecture and interactive workshop will teach design strategies to help make your home more accessible, adaptable, and flexible for occupants of all ages.

Discussion topics will include: principles of universal design, accessible kitchen and bathroom design, critical design dimensions, and tips and resources to make it look beautiful, not medicinal.

About the presenter: Julie Graf, CKD, Allied ASID, is the owner of One of a Kind Design (since 2001). She has both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Interior Design, and 15+ years of hands-on construction and design experience with a focus on residential and light commercial design. Julie holds a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) certification and has also served as an adjunct interior design instructor at Chatham University and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

This lecture is free to PHLF Members. Click here for more information about PHLF membership and please join!
