 Danielle's Poem

You don't know I've been looking down at you.
You don't know I'm here
But I've been here since 1910.
I have a steel frame
so I don't think I'll be going anywhere anytime soon.

 Courtney's Poem

People look at me and hear the Word of God
calling their name.
The house's beautiful-colored reflection shines against me.
My astonishing design amazes my visitors' eyes.
My 1900's structure stands tall and brave.

 Leo's Poem

There are blue borders around me.
And if you look at me upside down,
I look like the bottom of a policeman's badge.
I represent the Red, White, and Blue
And keep peace in this community.

 Katrina's Poem

J. Wagner

I am the tower that everyone sees
With corbelled brick under my windows,
And with the painted brick
J. W A G N E R.
There's a decorative finial at the top of my ribbed, conical roof.
Birds gather on top of me;
I try to shoo them, but I can't talk.

 Ryan's Poem

Rite Aid Pharmacy

Many shops have come and gone in me
But when there is a shop, people always shop with glee.
In the 1930s I was remodeled into a Rite Aid Store
And when you come in me you do not need a tour.

 Diana's Poem

Peeling paint from my walls,
See me old with some new.
I was built around 1900,
So I'm very old, like 105 years old.
There are stone lintels above my windows.
People come and see me all the time;
why don't you?

 Chelse's Poem

Twinkle Star

Look at this star so big and bold,
Hanging there all by itself.
My name is Anchor Plate
and I'm a decoration,
But I also hold up house walls of brick.
You can find me in South Side,
waiting for you to like me.

 Sara's Poem

I used to be a school tower,
but now I'm a place where people can shower.
I supported many generations
with many helpful classroom stations.
Now I keep people from being cold,
from new babies to the very old.
