 Jason's Poem

I'm the outside main street mall.
My friend the road is funny
and a good friend to have.
My friend the light is busy all the time,
with no time to take a break or play.
My friend the walk light is never busy:
he is my best friend to always play with.
And my other friend is the sidewalk who is
always busy with my friend the sewer
who has teeth to eat the trash.
My silent friend the tree is green.
My friend the street light is an owl who wakes up at night.

 Terry's Poem

Kassab's Restaurant

I am 70; I am old.
I'm huge but I'm weak.
People walk in me when I eat.
The food they eat is what I ate.
I can't talk but I wish I could.
That is sad for me.
I have one eye as a monster
But I'm still alive standing up.
When it snows I can't have a cold.
The snow's in my hair but it melts.
When it melts I look like I cry.
My owner owns me like a dog without a leash

 Brynn's Poem

I am a huge house.
People treat me like dirt.
They think it hurts me but it doesn't
Because I am a giant and they are ants compared to me.
And if I could talk I would say, “Stop treating me like dirt"
Because I am the one that is staying strong to keep a roof over your head.
Don't treat me like dirt.
I will break down on you.

 Nikko's Poem

I am a blue brick building.
I saw people for a century.
I saw horses, fast horses.
The horses were as brown as trees,
with eyes as dark as dirt.
I am so high.
I love when it rains.
It is like my bath.
It cleans me.

 Nick's Poem

I am ancient.
I am made of rock hard stone.
A torch of fire burns on my head.
I am a giant to everybody.
People don't look at me.
The people look like ants.
The cars look like beetles to me.

 Steven's Poem

I am the brick wall.
I have a bee's nest in me.
I am as hard as the ice.
My bricks are as yellow as the sun.
People walk past me, talk and look at me;
Then they walk away.

 Nicholas's Poem

My bolts are as blue as the sky.
The pipes are part of me.
The boats go under me.
Airplanes fly over me.
I am as hard as a rock.

 Marissa's Poem

I might rumble and tumble.
I might fall to the ground.
My curly things look like ocean waves if you
turn me upside down.
I am 91 years old.
My windows look like someone has taken a bat to me.
But I am standing strong like a dinosaur.

 Macaria's Poem

Lonely Star

I am a lonely star.
I am stuck on an orange brick wall.
At least I think I am.
I am up so high people look like little dots from up here.
I have no friends.
I am all alone.
I am a lonely star.

 Paris's Poem

I am an Iron and Glass dollar savings bank.
Lego bricks make my hairline.
Vertical leaves and angry lions are my hair.
I am as tan as sand.
