Virtual Tour: Fineview

$7.50

Located on part of the land set aside by the Pennsylvania legislature in the 1780s to pay veterans of the Revolutionary War, Fineview is a secluded neighborhood with a surprising architectural and historical legacy. On our virtual tour of this very hilly neighborhood, we will see, among other sites, the convent that gave the community its popular name of Nunnery Hill, Carpenter Gothic residences, and a city reservoir covered by a futuristic type of dome invented by one of America’s most imaginative architects. You also will learn about our organization’s preservation work in the neighborhood. You won’t have to put on your walking shoes to experience the spectacular vistas that Fineview offers!
