This building was moved here AFTER it was built! This building used to be where the County Office Building is. But, when the County Office Building was built, people decided to move this building further down the street. In 1929, that’s 79 years ago, the 8,000-ton building was moved about 300 feet. It took three months to move the Morgue, and the people inside kept working every day!
