Note Card Database

Every scholar has a note-taking process and style unique to his/her research. Nearly everyone researching today uses word-processing software, but this technology was not available until the late 20th century. James Van Trump used a system of note cards to record his thoughts, observations and citations to research materials. The content of these note cards became the foundation for his written work. The personal nature of this research style allows future generations to get to know Van Trump through these cards. Below is a link to the keyword-searchable database filled with PHLF’s collection of Jamie’s note cards.
